LOGISTICS
Namibia is a very visitor friendly country. Tourism is a major and growing part of our national economy and as such the Namibian government strives to make your logistics as smooth as possible.
Transportation:
There are several direct flights weekly from Germany, the United States, and South Africa to Windhoek, Namibia. Guests are met on arrival by a Ritter family or staff member at the Windhoek Intl. Airport. The drive from Windhoek to the farm takes approximately three hours.
Visas:
Citizens visiting from most countries, including the US and Germany, can obtain an entry Visa on arrival in Namibia. There is no charge for this. You will need a valid passport which does not expire for at least six months after your entry into Namibia.
Immunizations:
From most countries no immunizations are required to travel to Windhoek and Ritter Ranch. Our climate is very dry and malaria is not a problem. Guests should check with their own local health expert for more complete information. Guests should bring any personal prescribed or over the counter medicines they need with them as supplies can be inconsistent in Namibia.
Weapons:
Namibia allows hunters to bring their own hunting weapons and ammunition in to the country. You will be required on arrival to fill out a weapons certification with your name, firearm serial number and passport number. No hand guns or black powder are allowed.
We have 2 rifles for hire available. Should you require a rental rifle kindly ensure you mention this when booking with us as demand is high and availability limited.
